According to the Norwegian news channel NRK someone is shooting at people with small arms at a political youth summer camp on the island Utøya in Norway. The summer camp is being held by the Social Democrats' youth organization, AUF.
According to an eyewitness the man was identified as a policeman when he was transported to the island:
"He explained that it is a routine check following the terrorist attack in Oslo," says an eyewitness to VG Nett.
"Suddenly we heard a lot of shots."
Mother received sms from her son
One mother said to NRK that she received a text message from his son who has gone into coverage.

It is not yet known if this event has any link to the terrorist attack in Oslo earlier today.
